Brackets are known which are hung on the rim of a toilet bowl and which hold a cleaning, deodorising and / or disinfecting agent in solid or liquid form. During a rinsing process, part of the agent is added to the rinsing water. The application is simple, but the effect leaves something to be desired, since the distribution of funds in the bowl is not ensured.
To improve the distribution of agents, devices for metered delivery of an agent in solid or liquid form have therefore already been proposed, which are arranged in a cistern and optionally comprise a metering device for metered delivery of a fluid into the cistern water. The dosage depends on a flushing water level in the cistern. If the rinse water level drops, the agent is added to the water. If the water level rises again, the metering is stopped. For this purpose, for example, a discharge opening for the fluid is opened or closed by means of a float-operated lever (EP 1 426 505 A2).
Dosing devices are known from DE 102 07 753 A1 and US 2004 216 221 A1, in which the discharge opening for the fluid is opened or closed by means of a valve part arranged directly on the float.

DE 92 15 152 U1 discloses a metering device arranged in the cistern, the metering device dispensing a defined amount of the fluid into the flushing water each time the cistern is emptied. The dosing is carried out with a dosing piston operated by a float. In a bore in the metering piston, the fluid is taken up in a defined quantity by the storage container and transferred to the cistern when the metering device is actuated.
A disadvantage of the known devices is their susceptibility to errors or their poor metering accuracy.
The invention is therefore based on the object of providing a device of the type described at the outset which allows a reliable, well-metered dispensing of a fluid into a rinse water.
The invention solves this problem in that the float can be displaced in a dispensing chamber, depending on the rinse water level, between a release position that releases the dispensing opening with the lever and a closed position closing the dispensing opening with the lever, the float being coupled to the lever.
Providing the lever, which alternately releases and closes the dispensing opening and which is coupled to the float, ensures that a closing force is ensured which allows the dispensing opening to be securely closed and avoids plugging. Since the float in the dispensing chamber can be moved between a release position and a closed position depending on the flushing water level, a well-metered dispensing of the fluid into the cistern is also ensured if the dispensing chamber and the float are dimensioned accordingly.
It is recommended if the float is magnetically coupled to the lever by means of a magnet. The float is magnetically connected to the lever, for which purpose either the float and / or the lever is equipped with a magnet. This allows a safe and low-wear with particularly simple means

To improve the metering accuracy, a metering chamber can be provided in the flow path of the fluid between the reservoir and the discharge opening, which is preferably connected to the reservoir via a seal. The transfer of fluid from the storage container into the metering chamber takes place, for example, via defined bores, the diameter of which is preferably adapted to the viscosity of the fluid.
The lever closes the dispensing opening in its closed position preferably with a seal arranged between a pivot axis of the lever and the coupling to the float. The seal can either be arranged on the lever or else around the discharge opening.
It is advisable for the dispensing chamber to be open at least in some areas at the bottom and to surround the float with play in the area of the casing adjoining the dispensing chamber floor. Since the jacket of the dispensing chamber surrounds the float with play, a defined transfer of fluid to the dispensing chamber floor is ensured.
To improve the guidance of the float, the dispensing chamber can have a projection on the bottom against the storage container, onto which the float equipped with a corresponding blind hole is placed. It is advantageous if the float lies in the release position on the attachment head with the bottom of the blind hole in its release position that releases the discharge opening with the lever, and if the float base is spaced apart from the discharge chamber floor.
